SEriously though, how is it that the Beatles have so much staying power? Nobody cares about Elvis anymore, or the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Michael jackson, etc. Those are all dated and contained in their era, while the beatles are timeless.
The beatles are still getting new fans and people are talking about them. I can go on tiktok right now and find a meme with golden slumbers or elanor rigby in the background
People are still going to be talking about the beatles in 50 years

Unironically they're basically the Steve Jobs of music
They didn't make a lot of their ideas, but they fused them together in ways that just seemed natural
Also, The Beatles were one of the very first (if not the first) example of a band radically changing their musical types and genres from album-to-album.
Those two points make them timeless to many.

Perfectly summed up.

Strangely enough, I agree with all these points about The Beatles. Love them. I'm also gay, I figured I would throw that in there.

YIKES! I didn’t know you were some FAGGOT who likes FAGGOT BOY BANDS like the Beatles

in a single word, songwriting. Lennon and McCartney were the best songwriting duo in popular music in three important ways. 1, they could keep doing it and never ran out of ideas. 2, versatility, like Anon said they could jump from genre to genre or style and blend influences between albums, even on the same album, while maintaining quality and 3, they had two different musical characters which meshed really well together, Pauls ear for melody and harmony and Johns ear for a bit of edge and grit. they both complemented each other and, usually, balanced out each others excesses

Wrong. I just listen to cool faggots, like Freddie Mercury, Brian Epstein or Frank Zappa. I wouldnt be caught dead listening to the Beatles.

Queen (51.9 m monthly) mogs them (35.5 m monthly) on Spotify listens.

I mean Freddie Mercury was a literal fag and people still think he's less gay than the Beatles.

All this tells me is that Spotify is full of homosexuals

That's why I said one of the very first

Say what you want about the Beatles but they did make a genuine effort to work on the actual craft of the music itself. They go from club players to boy band to mature band to solo projects. They simply put in the work and develop new styling every so often. Exceedingly few bands and solo artists bother with all that and it shows. There is simply nobody quite like them. Not even close. You also have three major talents in one group, McCartney, Lennon and Harrison.

When it come's to peak songwriting of The Beatles you simply can't beat the genius of Maxwell's Silver Hammer

People only think this because rock music is still far from becoming a serious art.
