It's also a song that's frankly beneath Pharrell's talent as an artist, so that Despicable Me money must have been the bag of a lifetime to get him to make that slop.Uptown Funk was and is legitimately good. Not a huge fan of Bruno Mars normally but his voice did fit that song like a glove. I've liked Mark Ronson since Here Comes the Fuzz and I'm kind of surprised that Uptown Funk and Valerie are still his only mega-hits.
