It used to be so much easier. You could just search on google and the 4chan archive (rebeccablacktech) for the album/artist and add shite like site:blogpost.com, mediafire, rapidshare, zippyshare, mega, etc.
Then we had kingdomleaks for awhile.
Now it feels like all that remains is soulseek and redacted.
I don't fuck with any of that anymore and just listen to all my music on YouTube.

Are you talking about general trackers like 1337 and rutracker? I don't feel comfortable using those, but I do use nyaa for Japanese music (I wish I was on jpopsuki).

Nah, mediafire back in the day circa 2006 was fast-as-fuck. Mega wasn't too bad either.
They are terrible now. I'm trying to download a ~34gig piano sample library from rapidshare right now and the file sizes are limited to 999MB and I can only download one a day. It's painful.
Shame what.cd had to die.
For a brief moment mu had their own tracker, and I even had an account, but it died quickly.
