What are some concepts I should learn about playing bass? Already play guitar yet don't want to limit myself to 1 instrument.

>What are some concepts I should learn about playing bass
-root notes (obv)
-octaves (obv)
-counter-harmonies/using the bass track to resolve tension from what the guitar is playing
-"the pocket" (can't be taught)

go back and listen to those old Beach Boys songs. Brian and Carole Kaye are both amazing bass players with unique sensibilities. i learned so much about bass playing by listening to beach boys and pink floyd. no joke.
