what would her career have been like if she didn't die so young?

Best case scenario, she achieves the godlike stature that Beyonce and Rihanna both have and don't deserve. Worst case scenario, Aaliyah s/t flops (she died a month after it was released so it's hard to predict the trajectory of the record had she lived), the follow-up flops and Damon Dash and Jay-Z move on to the next girl and she spends the rest of her career singing on cruise ships.

It's depressing how far pop has fallen, from bangers like "Try Again" with its icy futuristic production and Aaliyah's perfect silky vocals, to k-pop trash featuring one of the world's most unpleasant languages + the latest Taylor Swift slop where she pouts about ex-boyfriend #5000 on a 40-track "album" that solely exists to pad her streaming numbers.
