Before the transition from hardware to DAWs you needed to be actually talented to work with the equipment. That's not to say that incredible music hasn't been made with DAWs but the ease of creating and releasing music makes it harder to wade through the endless crap that is out there now. I don't care if Terminator sounds old it's still really fucking cool unlike most things released now.
