Did "scenecore" do more harm than good for the health of rock music at large?

Orchid is simultaneously the best and worst emo band of all times. They killed the genre and birthed scenecore (horrors beyond human comprehension)
I still like post-hardcore and melodic hardcore I never cared for deathcore or the more dissonant metalcore bands
