Currently as of this post, there are:

>10 kpop generals

>6 Sabrina Carpenter threads
>4 Halsey threads
>4 Olivia Rodrigo threads
>4 Emily Armstrong threads
>3 Wet Legs threads
>surprisingly only one Taylor Swift thread - guess she's just getting old

I scrolled through all of these threads and counted 12 comments about their music in anyway. Fuck you. Go to Wpop with the other gooners or make a new board.
>>
>>130003684
Excuuuuuse me your majesty, what kind of music do you want us to discuss then? Oh wait none because you're a troll, have a pity (you)
>>
>>130003684
To be fair, most of the kpop threads are just ones that hit bump limit because everyone who posts in those threads are bots and people who are mentally retarded and think they're posting in good company so new threads are constantly spammed when an old one dies and mods are usually pretty good at deleting duplicates.
That being said, why the fuck are there two active kpop threads at a time?
>>
>>130003684
you know the board has a rule against duplicate threads and you can report all of those, right?
>>
>>130003775
Reporting doesn’t do anything and the janny is likely in on it
>>
>>130003684
lcshit shitsystem is worse
>>
>>130003794
They all are. Theres nothing you can do to stop them unfortunately. fucking niggers
>>
>>130003972
Niggers don’t deserve being compared to these creatures
>>
>>130003704
t. zoomie gooner
>>
>>130003775
does nothing - there is perpetually 8-12 kpop gens at once at all times
>>130003719
yeah that checks out. I imagine the Wpop goon threads are max like 5 guys
>>
>>130003704
these would be alright if any music discussion occured in any of them. Nothing even against the music or artists themselves
>>
>>130003684
There are six Emily threads
>>
>>130003684
funny thing is that this thread will inevitably be pruned and the slop causing the issues will never be touched
>>
>>130003684
those wet leg threads aren't even normal fapthreads. They are literally posting AI bait pics
>>
>>130003684

This. I gotta respect the kpop autists for actually staying in their containment thread but something about these wpop trannies just screams severe mental illness.
>>
>>130003684
absolute state of the steve hoffman forum

currently as of this post, there are

>50 beatles threads
>40 beach boys threads
>30 stones threads
>10 paul mccartney threads

but you are right nobody ever talks about music on here unless its to make fun of it or goon to the female singers
>>
>>130003704
Kys tranny
>>
yeah, its so much better when Mu talks about the same 50 rock and rap albums ad infinitum and spams pictures of frogs
>>
>>130006671
Yes.
>>
It's radicalizing me to see how liberals genuinely pretend not to understand things so you can't discuss anything with them.
There is nothing wrong with discussing wpop or Sabrina. But if you don't see the issue with so many duplicate threads shitting up the board then you are purposefully being a retard.
>>
>>130003684
Yep, back when they were more posters here and not actual bots/wpop/kpopbots stuff like this would happen because we used to gatekeep and shit on these kind of fags.
>>
>>130004157
The notional rule is that one active K-Poop thread is allowed if the old one reached the bump limit. However all those other threads are against the rules and can be reported as duplicates.
>>
>>130003684
oh and 3x threads complaining about the state of /mu/
>>
Anyone posting here longer than 6 months can easily see this board couldn't have reached a lower point than it already has in its entire measured history. We couldn't have less engagement, and even the little we have has been marred with unchecked shitposts. When anons are accosted with threads like these, who the hell would stay here?

Waifuposting is commonly scapegoated for the state of the board, but purging every waifu thread on sight still wouldn't account for the dearth of music discussion on this board apart from the genre generals.

But so many /mu/tants love to blame waifu threads for the state of this place. What do you think will revitalize this place?
>>
>>130007842
shut up tranny youre part of the problem
>>
It's funny seeing you fags complain for years and achieve nothing

your violent gruesome murder
>>
>>130008050
>>130007890
Seethe all you want, but you can't ignore the facts that shitposting coupled with arbitrary moderation damaged this board's user engagement far more than waifuposters ever did.
>>
This board has a lot of problems, but the internet generally has shifted away from 4chan, and there was no way this board wasn't going to suffer. Through all the ups and downs /mu/ has had though,
the one thing that could really make a difference, really improve it immeasurably and quckly is this >>130008050. Ideally with proof on one of the NSFW boards.
>>
>>130003684
Maybe /mu/ should be split:

/mu/ - Actual Music Discussion
/mug/ - Music Gooners, a.k.a. Mugs, Who Goon To Musicians Instead Of Caring About Music
>>
>>130008171
Cry more. Even if I stopped posting tomorrow, this board would still drown in unchecked shitposting with the current userbase.
>>
>>130008110
based.

I tried starting a thread to discuss why Ye wasn't booked to play Coachella, and I got a warning because it was "off topic". Very likely because they didn't like the fact that I pointed out the politics of the people who own coachella and how that lines up with ye's politics.

But we're still talking about one of the biggest performers today playing at one of the biggest music festivals today. How that isn't on-topic is beyond me, unless it's the "hurr durr rap is not music" things, in which case all of the other Ye astroturfing would also have been removed as "off-topic".

*shrugs* not complaining, mind you, but a reasonable person could look at that and perhaps not be so mystified as to the /mu/ trends.

there was an article posted a while ago about 4chinz and RapeApe, which basically summed it up - "the goal is to make all boards an extension of /pol/" - and they're achieving that.
>>
>>130008244
I like this, but it needs to go further.
/mu/ - Actual Music Discussion
/mug/ - Music Gooners
/mud/ - Music Chuds, for people who post boring politics and culture war bullshit
>>
>>130008265
>there was an article posted a while ago about 4chinz and RapeApe, which basically summed it up - "the goal is to make all boards an extension of /pol/" - and they're achieving that.
Here you go lad:
>RapeApe has an agenda: He wants /pol/ to have an influence on the rest of the site and [its] politics
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/06/inside-4chans-top-secret-moderation-machine/

>>130008271
Yes, this should happen
>>
>>130007842
Kick out hiroshimoot
Kick out all the zoomers and gen alpha queers
Bring back millennials and gatekeeping
Permaban anyone that makes a kpop threads and kpop posters on site(or make a shit board relegated for chinkery posting)
