I'M AN AUSTRALIAN FROM THE 2020S BUT THIS ALBUM ABOUT A BEING A CALIFORNIAN FROM THE 90S SITS WITH ME SO DAMN WELL!!!!!!!!! AND THIS BAND IS UNDERRATED AS BALLZ!

Mid-2000s. But I'm in my 'prime' this decade, I guess. Or at least I would be if things weren't so difficult lol.

I like to pretend she's singing directly to me
>you're pretty dreamy for a boy from long island
Oh stop it, you!
Totally Crushed Out is great too, probably better. That first album is dogshit though, impressive how quickly they learned to write songs after that.

well it sure ain't every day we get a that dog thread on here

New to me but sounds good, can hear a lot of Juliana Hatfield influence.

their career sorta mirrors hole's
>1st album unlistenable garbage
>2nd album huge upgrade and the generally agreed upon classic
>3rd album glossy sellout

Wouldn't blame you for thinking that. It's definitely heavier. Ms. Wrong is one of my all time favourites ever.

Every now and then I post stuff like this and nobody bites. Good to see a change.

Never heard of her but I'm listening to her now. Can definitely hear the similarities already.

These are definitely more on punkish, Bikini Kill-esque side of things. I can see the appeal. Unrelatedly, I love Le Tigre.

What do you think

It's easy to have a career when your dad owns and runs major record labels and is able to surround you with talent until you get bored of playing alt-band because that trend was dying out.
