BJM was so funny to see live, and they're one of my favorite bands. Newcombe isn't violent at all now, he just acts like someone with Alzheimer's induced brain damage
>>
>>
>>130046260
He is retarded.
>>
>>130047697
This one is great. Part 2 is also pretty good for completely different reasons its just a shame the music in part 2 is so fucking dog shit except for megadeth
>>
you can't call yourself a /mu/tant if you haven't watch this docu
>>
>>130047697
This and its sequel did more harm to music and society in general, dumb cunt should never have picked up a camera.

Driver 23/The Atlas Moth is a 2-part documentary released in 1999 and 2001 about the failed Minneapolis band Dark Horse, and the process behind the creation of their 2000 album 'Guts Before Glory.' Lead singer Dan Cleveland recorded and mixed the entire album in at his house while taking psychiatric drugs for severe OCD and working a day-job as a delivery driver (#23) for an office supply company.

Among other issues, Cleveland got divorced during the production process, and also went bankrupt, along with the band's bass player Sean Cassidy (who died of a heart attack in 2004). Here's a track from the album for anyone curious:

I don't like The Red Hot Chili Peppers but A Dutch Connection is probably my favorite (if not at least a close second to Dig!)
You will need to find it with English subs though.
>>
>>130046146
Yeah even if you don't like Metallica its extfremely funny and should be considered essential viewing, watching a bunch of washed up 40-something millionaire manchildren hiring a therapist because they have 0 communication skills is too kino.
>>
>>130051668
all true but
>washed up
washed up implies that you can no longer attain the glory you used to have and metallica have only continued to play larger and larger arenas as they've gotten older. they've been setting attendance records at various places the past couple years.

a band that is washed up would be megadeth. they used to be able to headline tours on their own but as recently as the 2020s were only the penultimate band.

Instrument is good the live performance of Shut the Door is fucking amazing

I was disappointed they couldn't get a current day Jeff interview
>>
>>130053410
it was obvious though
>>
>>130052679
my favorite part is them getting interviewed for some random middle school project.
>>
If you enjoyed Dig! and are capable of reading a book, I highly suggest checking out Jingle Jangle Jungle. Very funny and provides more context.

>have to pay to watch
No thanks. I'd rather buy Kevin's new album.
>>
>>130048965
This was pretty good. Not amazing, but definitely worth a watch.

>>130052517
Well good news, you get Dave with the band and therapist crying about the past too. Fuck, I really gotta rewatch it.
>>
>>130048965

>Fuck... FUCK... FUUUUUUUUCK.
>that scene with Lars and Dave in therapy on the day after 9/11
>the band "therapist" passing lyric suggestions to James
>Lars' dad telling him to delete the ambient opening track
>the guitar shit being a little stock
>James slamming the door like a baby when he's butthurt
>Lars flipping out after Jason's show and calling him the future when he literally left that band 2 years later
>Jason REEEing about therapy
>James fleeing to Siberia to drink and hunt bears on his son’s first birthday
>HE FOCKING LEFT THE BAND
>Kirk fucking up the riff
>FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuUUUCKKK

Manages to capture the totality of a scene beyond the few bands who were popular for that brief period of time.
>>
>>130055037
that scene was tough to watch. i actually really commiserated with dave. to have what you thought your best/only friends in the world just discard you like trash without a second chance...that's rough. not saying dave has problems himself but still.

>The Filth and The Fury

People can say what they like about the Sex Pistols but most people don't really know the full story and the full story is perhaps the single most epic tale in the history of popular music

>Country is fucked/dying
>Music is shit
>Three lads with absolutely zero life prospects form band to shag women
>Ask owner of fashionable shop to manage the band
>Somehow recruit one of the most unique characterful people as singer (who also had zero prospects)
>Make music just for the fuck of it
>Its starts an entire new music scene
>It totally revolutionises music
>It entirely reshapes the fabric of society
>Split up within a year and a half

Genuinely mental stuff and the documentary is really fucking good

honestly shocked Dave A) let them film that and B) let them use it in the movie
>>
>>130046146
No doubt. It’s funny but also interesting to see a documentary about an aging band making a different new album that ended up sucking ass
>>
>>130054485
Wait are you serious? How the fuck is it that someone who visits this board is unable to find a free copy? Is this why the /sharethread/ generals died? Because there isn't point to it when you've literal retards frequenting this place?
