>*saves rock*>*saves buttmetal*Why has nothing even remotely come close
>>130047498Track 1, 3 and 4 are fucking great
>>130047498because they were competing against shitlords like slipknot who also lost their drummer
>>130047498What made this as good as it was? Was it Syn's guitar playing or was it The Rev's drumming?
>>130047656Both, truly a blessed harmony there
>>130047656sure as shit wasn't the vocals
Anyone ever listen to this album back in the OG days of Youtube because of Burnout Revenge?
If you can't rock out to this, then you just ain't about that lifehttps://youtu.be/2Vpw5PhGS_M
I just don't get them man. I kinda like their recent stuff because it's unique but all of the older stuff just seems kind of watered down and generic. It seems like a kind of middle ground of heaviness, progressiveness, technicality, clean vocal melodies, and genres, and I can see why that would appeal to people, but I don't know what's there that I can't get from another band.
>>130048681Damn that's good. Shame they don't play this song anymore
>>130048708"Traditional" metal at the time was completely dead and non-existent and the "guitar hero" was also pretty dead after nu-metal. Remember Lars Ulrich not wanting to do guitar solos because they weren't cool at the time and Kirk getting butthurt? That was at the same time So here comes A7X, fresh off of releasing a masterpiece of the metalcore genre and all of a sudden they completely change genresBat Country has one of the best guitar solos of all time and Fuse and MTV played their MV a ton so an entire new generation of people got exposed to metal and guitar and drums. They were right place at the right time but also had the chops to back it up I'm willing to bet that quite literally millions of young kids decided to learn guitar directly as a result of Syn
