>>130058658Apparently after the Holy Bible, Richey Edwards wanted the Manics to go heavier and darker still by incorporating influence from industrial acts as he was getting into techno and rave music. The band wanted to make poppier rock tunes. This happened shortly before his disappearance. Given the trajectory of the Manics since then, I think he was in the right.

An interesting thing about the North American industrial scene in the 80s/90s is there were two hubs, Vancouver and Chicago. KMFDM came from Chicago while Skinny Puppy and FLA came from Vancouver.https://youtu.be/F4JGjkpHtHwThrill Kill Kult has done dance-rock industrial for a long time but I'm not really a fan, they've got groove though. Also a Chicago group.https://youtu.be/YgaZwOHjTwI
