never, mostly because our village has about 50 houses, two pubs, a church, a tank and thats about it. the closest Ive got to a "show" in the last decade has been a few visits to a folk club in the community hall of the nearest town to hear local amateurs bash away at guitars. which was actually pretty good sometimes but I haven’t even been there in a good while.

>>130062216There are very small towns in the US that may be considered villages, but not in the same way as in Europe. Close knit villages are more common in the east but they tend to be pretty sleepy and depressed nowadays, and farther west they get too rural and spread out to have much community anyway.
