That said, I agree that the internet fans are over glazing it a tad but that's only because everything came together at the right place at the right time for them. They are actually two dirty wood punk that first started to use their costumes to be able to play multiple shows in a single night + hide from their local known community as a fun trick. The whole dollar sign and triangle shit is actually very surface level for them as they see their characters as a mean to separate their personal selve from a marketed product, at least that's what came to be over time. They describe their music as math rock laid on a techno structure with incremental change. They are not the first to use microtonal in music obviously but they did succeed somehow to appropriate its eastern roots and put their own spinning sauce on it. I don't think they need to be more than what they are either, not all music need a vocalist just to please to more plebs. I personally enjoy some of their songs and their driving grooves they have even if not my personal cup of tea, there is something really engaging about it. Mostly, it feels refreshing in the sea of dogshit modern (and AI) musics. Some people seems to try to critic them with reductionist points which sometimes come off as bitter jealousy if you ask me. It's not revolutionary by itself, sure, but in it's societal current modern context it also kind of is. It's a fuck you to plastic fakeness without taking itself too seriously at the same time, which is much needed in this time.Glad for their success and elevating my people on the international scene. I'd prefer if they don't over do it and put that project aside eventually or sparse their releases. Not everything has to go upward infinitely. It's just fun music that rely heavily on unorthodox grooves/pitch at the end of the day.

They're fresh to my ears, but I can't listen to their tunes back to back because they all follow the same pattern of the sole guitarist recording the phrases live, and then layering something else on top as they play back.
