Whatever happened to the "born in the wrong generation" crowd?

>Tame Impala
>Black Keys
>not played on radio

That's a laugh. My gym had "Dracula" on loop for half a year now. My gym also constantly plays Black Keys. Given, that review was written in 2013, but either way, he's a moron.

why do you think people care about your thoughts on any subject enough that your posts must be associated with a trip? what makes you so unique in your mind?

They grew up

He's too used to being on reddit. He's also a narcissist

Nickelback and the twenty other awful bands that sounded exactly like them killed FM radio and made everyone switch to using the internet for music, the monoculture started falling apart, and now all the kids who would have previously been in "le wrong generation" crowd can just stay in their bubble of dad-rock forever without being exposed to the kinds of music they would have complained about.
>>
They are even bigger than ever and have taken over /mu/ which is why every new band posted here receives so much hostility

Subtle Geese shill. Hello saar!

Nothing he or she or they said was wrong. Not a fucking word.

I think "le right generation" ultimately won. The last time i saw a significant amount of wrong generation kids was then the Freddie Mercury biopic came out, and their Live Aid performances got flooded with comments like "this is so better than the music from my generation" or "i wish we still had music like this". Maybe the TikTok algorithm has something to do with it. After all it's obsessed with pushing "new" and "hot" acts so i guess zoomers don't feel the need to isolate themselves from current music

Geese are wrong generationers
>>
>>130067054
With zoomers the programming finally worked
>>
I consider myself to be born in an unnatural world
>>
>>130067054
It's cringe to sincerely say "music was better in the past" because they don't want to sound like boomers, so they hide it being "irony" and retro aesthetic fetishism
>>
>>130067270
Yup. “Photograph” single-handedly pushed people away from mainstream rock. The fucking Uncle Kracker version of “Drift Away” also.
>>
>>130067891
you're right they should be playing boring trendy hip-slop instead
>>
overexposed, commercialized

They grew up. Also kids of today are fine with the tiktok slop they get feed.
It probably was millennials that didn't like to grow up in an era where rap was mainstream.
