I like Aurora, and I've always been a Chemical Bros stan, but I could not bring myself to finish this. Too irritating and vain. In terms of production, something changed for the worse in the Chems output post-Further, and Tom seems to be at fault as he brings that decline in composition over to this project. As for Aurora, well, she is just being her usual crazy Scandi pixie self and not much more is asked from her so that's okay. But the beats are dog and really stand to be a detriment from the intended experience. Now imagine if someone like Four Tet had stuck out his big forehead first to collaborate with Aurora instead and end up collabing to this level. That wouldn't suck.

agreed, i don't see what all the glaze is about

i've been a ride or die chembros fan since the 90s and i think it's pretty good personally, though i wouldn't say it's a top 5 chembros album or anything like that. aurora didn't lay on her le quirky nordic forest fairy gimmick too thickly i mo. "ring the alarm" is kind of annoying and grating like many of tom's solo tracks and as a single it had me worried about the whole project but the album is like a 7.8/10 for me.

also haven't seen any glazing either really, i think it's only in the mid 70s on metacritic.
