I remember being around for the moments when their albums came out, they generated a lot of internet buzz and had their own cult following. Many were propping them up as the future of hip hop

But 10-15 years later it seems like they've fallen to the wayside and are stuck in their time. I know they supposedly have a new album coming out but are they going to go back to the same level of relevancy as before?

Aged as well as any shitty nu metal band did, which is basically what they were.
>>
Beats me. I found out about some Norwegians trying to sound like MC Ride semi recently if that counts for something

>WHAT'S THAT
>CAN'T TELL

in case you didn't know, this is the case for the vast majority, 95+ % of artists. the ones that don't are the exceptions, which yes, we talk about, but aren't representative

They're way too wild to ever become mainstream. But if you look at modern hip hop they've clearly had an impact, for example jpegmafia, tyler the creator, Rocket Rese are clearly inspired by death grips

They were shit then. They're shit now.

They'll be one of the only bands actually remembered and discussed in 20 years
>>
Because their style was of more relevance then the body of their work. And because their style is so distinctive anyone who takes after them will just be accused of being a fake death grips.

Millennials' The Beatles unironically

If you disagree, you're unironically retarded.

Their legacy is getting blown the fuck out by a bunch of clowns despite pretending to be punk
>>
>>130126265
they are ok but no one really remembers them

I do not get this at all. Of all the things you can say about their music, it aging badly isn't one of them.
Ex-Military and The Money Store are the perfect soundtrack to walking or driving around a modern city. The world is more MC Ride esq now than it was in the 2010s.

Some of the most annoying shit one can listen to

Found this band that's like a Spanish version of Steroids/Gmail. Enjoy!

They don’t really have a legacy.
