You couldn't stream the music, you had to buy DVDs to watch the music videos, you had to go through half a dozen proxy services to buy the merch, etc. By the time they finally gave in to the global audience they were already too far behind.

I want to find Mikami_Chisako-Viva_la_Revolucion-SVCD-JP-2004-mV4U so I can watch that again. Seeing the video made me a fan of her music but it never turned up on YouTube.
