Stained Class

I never dug Exciter. And it is such a stark contrast to the rest of one of the most legendary and influential heavy metal albums of all time.

I really wanna say Nevermind/Smells Like Teen Spirit (and I say this as a major Nirvana fan) but that's primarily because I'm super biased towards their Bleach-era stuff as well as believing most (if not all) of the rest of the songs on Nevermind are just simply better, whether that be because they "sound better" or are more lyrically well-written. I'm not saying SLTS is a "bad song" per se, I'm just saying the remainder of Nevermind is so much better. But then I go back and listen to Bleach and I'm all like "lol, Nevermind SUCKS in comparison".

Daydream Nation. Album starts with Silver Rocket as far as I'm concerned.

The last 2 Killing Joke albums. I even adore MMXII, but Pole Shift and Autonomous Zone don't start their respective albums off with a bang.

Everything in its Right Place is the second best song on the album.
