It's hard for zoomies to fathom but a new MJ film clip was an event, MTV and other stations around the world would dedicate an evenings programming to its premiere with interviews and what not about the making of etc. The long form video would rarely be shown again after this so everyone tuned in to see it.

Wonder if zoomers are less in touch with the music of earlier generations than we were. I've heard all the greatest hits from my parents' and grandparents' generation a million times, but with zoomers it often feels like they're treading into obscure territory.
