Is using monitor headphones just for listening to music a meme or do people actually do it unironically?
>>130160546Sennheiser monitor headphones (the ones Joe Rogan uses) are very nice. Why would you spend $600 plus on some overpriced piece of plastic?
>>130160546Absolutely fine. The flat sound makes it for easy EQ
I listen to music on my Sony MDR-7506s, great sound quality for like 100 bucks, cope and seethe about it.
>>130160546is there another way?
>>130160898Using regular headphones designed for listening instead of studio monitor headphones. I have been using DT 1990 headphones and I might buy a pair of AirPod Max 2s because I like the sound of AirPods.>>130160791broke ass nigga
What's the problem with that?
I use kiwi ears belle
>>130161013I heard it isn't allowed in the patrician scene.
>>130160993can you explain it to me like i was 5 why id wouldnt want studio monitor headphones for listening to music?
>>130161128idk bro, i use studio monitor headphones for listening too. i'm just trying to work out if i fell for a meme or not.
>>130161172for me its like this: the amount of money i would have to pay for something that i think sounds like a real upgrade to what i have right now is not an amount of money i would ever want to spend on headphones
>>130160546listening to music right now on my M50x
>>130161267simply epic, my fellow redditor :) i heckin love le epic ath-meme50 memephones!
>>130160546Just get yourself HD650 with apple usb-c to 3.5mm adapter and don't bother about anything else
>>130160546for me, it's my hd600s out of a mojo2v happy with that
>>130160546Those audio technical m50x with Bluetooth are amazing for both recording and casual listening. They have great warranty too. They're tried and true industry standard
>>130161317Are you telling me i'm from reddit and also that i fell for a meme?
>>130160546The ones I've tried sounded just as bad as regular consumer headphones. I think the only thing that matters is that all the frequencies sound clear and clean. Price doesn't determine the quality. A lot of it is expert fan culture. The kind of guys who tell you that they can hear more off vinyl than Spotify. It's all placebo effects. They're not music experts with great ears, they're shopping experts that memorize specs.
>>130160546I want it to sound as close as possible to how the artist / mixer intended
>>130163444weirdo
>>130160741only person ITT making sense
>>130160546only with heavy EQ
