im not an unc and i didnt grow up listening to jungle so my first impression of mid 90s jungle was that the vast majority of it sounds like the trooncore jungle/dnb slop of today. I actually have a lot of songs that are listed as jungle on my early 90s hardcore/breakbeat playlist but all those jungle songs have something in them that gives a 90s dance vibe to it you know what im sayin? not all jungle has that 90s hardcore element/vocal or breakdown segment. i guess what im trying to say is i just really hate ambient undancable fast paced troon slop. some jungle is not that bad mkay. i was wrong.

very nice

I can tell you're young just keep an open mind and keep digging for new things to like, treating music genres like sports is midwit stuff you want your taste to evolve over time not get stuck

>>130165242
Shut up, clown.
>>
>>130165242
I know you got mindbroken by discord trannies making watered down atmospheric dnb with bad production and cringe anime samples. Doesn't make ambient jungle any bad or any worse for someone who didn't fall down the animecore rabbithole
>>
>makes 1st wave post-rock
>randomly drops one of the greatest DnB/jungle albums of all time
>goes back to making atmospheric post-rock

here's an old jungle/d&b mixtape you lot might enjoy

DJ Die - On a Roll
>1995, DJ Die (Reprazent, Breakbeat Era, SubLove, Full Cycle Records etc, though this was a couple of years before any of that happened) fucking around on Luke's decks while the rest of us sat around smoking pot and playing Wipeout on the PS1, recorded at the flat on Alma Road in 1995
