people say mashups have been done before but no one took it to the level Neil does, what this album made me realize though is that you could make completely non humorous mashups that have powerful sincere and nostalgic energy to them and we haven't heard that done at all

this one was pretty interesting to me. I once personally mixed Beatles Getting Better and Modern English Melt With You together after I realized both songs had the lyric
>Getting better all the time
and I think the chord progressions were the same or close. I'm a terrible producer though I have no concept of how people isolate layers so the stuff was completely blended when I did it nothing left out

It's completely fair to say he is by far the best comedy-mashup musician in human history. At least that I've personally heard/am aware of.

Arguably one of the best "comedy-musicians" of all time in general if meaning music where the music itself is the actual form of the comedy (vs. someone like Bo Burnham/Dimitri Martin/Weird Al/Tim Minchin/Tom Lehrer where the music is not necessarily the main comedy itself)

I really connect with this tune when I've had just the right amount of vino.

The last thing worth anything he made was Dinosaurchestra and that's mostly because he's spent 20 years just re-releasing everythig and remastering it inbetween doing nothing.

Negativland is his only real competition (Dispepsi and Helter Stupid), but even then it's a very different kind of vibe than what Neil is going for
