I don't know if my tastes have changed or if the bands themselves no longer put out anything worthwhile, but every time I tried to listen to a new-ish nu metal album by a [once] popular band, it was boring as fuck. And I'm not embarrassed to admit that I enjoyed plenty of songs from that 2000s nu metal era. I am open to being proven wrong though.

Also, I think POD aren't even in that picture and they were some of my favorites. And also a perfect example of the growing irrelevance I mentioned. Also Katy Perry was in one of their old videos, before she became famous.

Also Metallica aren't nu metal (even though they were also popular at the time) etc. etc. It was just the first picture I found on Google Images.

What do you mean by new nu-ish? Like the later albums they put out? That's very common for any band to stop putting out good albums after awhile. Anyway, to answer the question I listened to the Unquestionable Truth by Limp Bizkit and it was actually a really good album, granted I didn't know it was from 2005 so it isn't new at all anymore. I still think Static-X is still putting out solid content. I enjoyed the singles on Project Regeneration but admittedly still haven't listened to all of it yet. I too like P.O.D significantly more than a lot of the ones featured on here and I'm surprised Sonny wasn't on here.

What do you mean Korns dubstep album is kino, or maybe Papa Roach's djent album is more to your speed?

Yes, although this includes more recent stuff as well as plenty of bands still put out albums. Even other metal bands (non-nu metal) that I liked back then, like Nightwish, still put out stuff and when I listen to it, it just feels meh. I still like their hits from back in the day though.

Although, admittedly, Nightwish might be a bad example since they had Tarja back then so the vocal style was quite unique. But the broader point still probably stands.

>Papa Roach's djent album
That almost sounds interesting. Is that really a thing? Because everything I've heard from them since the "good old days" has been pure pop slop.

I mean, how do you think a djent album made by Papa Roach would sound, its raido friendly slop that can barely be called djent. It is more funny for the fact that they pivoted from one Hollywood slop genre to another.

The djent album is weird, it sounds like they're trying really hard to be like BMTH. Doesn't even sounds like Papa Roach to me. Now they're making Christian country music

Truly devilish. Oh well, it's not like we lost much.
