I played Minecraft as a kid so I can’t have an impartial opinion on this
>>130168583Yeah that's the problem, I need someone to play the soundtracks for their grandparents or something
Yea
>>130168353>>130168622Videogame soundtracks are explicitly made to be experienced with the game, you can't really judge them without the context. It's like rating a movie soundtrack without having watched the movie.
>>130168353no they're not. they're pretty good but not as great as people say. especially not alpha
>>130168353I like the piano pieces
>>130168583>>130168622I have zero interest in Minecraft and I love both albums
>>130168750Thats bullshit. I don't have enough hands to could how many soundtracks work as albums outside of its movie/game/cartoon/show
>>130168353his music outside of minecraft imo is even better. 148 is great house/dnb and excursions is a good mix of his ambient stuff from minecraft and his idm/chill-type stuff from his earlier music
>>130168750>>130168353Have never played the game, still love the music
Been a long time since ive listened but I can still hear that overworld piano music in my head and it makea me feel a certain way few other pieces do so im gonna say its the real deal. That rare perfect confluence of thinga making THE perfect thing at THE perfect time. The only thing remotely close for me is Fez but the soundtrack is so much better than the game its not the same. Take me back bros.
>>130168470fpbp>>130168353yes, yes they are. at least in their genre. When I put them on nobody complains, so that's already a win in my book. The piano pieces are great compositions on their own, and aria math is a banger as well
