Stop overlooking this bop
As a Medullafag, I loved this one. Only song I'm ambivalent on is Allow. Small wonder as I don't love Utopia.
>>130173398More like slop
>>130173398her best one since Homogenic
>>130175846stop doing drugs
>>130173398/mu/ has no appreciation for post-Vespertine Björk
>>130173398post the link tho bitch
>>130177851Wrong. Medulla is great. Everything after it is mediocre or terrible, though. Fartsora, since part of the inspiration was stinky ass farts according to Björk, is one of her worst yet.
>>130177851its not my fault Vesperitne is her best album and not because of her singing the instrumental is just beautiful I just put on the intstrumental verison and i dont have to listen to Squeaky Icelandic voices
>>130177898Everything Bjork, Boredoms, Boris, Swans, The Knife, His Name Is Alive, Cabaret Voltaire, etc. has ever done can be found here for free. No YouTube thank God. Lots of incredible Bjork remixes, live albums and alternatives if you know the titles. https://archive.org/details/@jcomicstampa
>>130173398It was better than Utopia I guess.
>>130177851Because Fossora and Utopia lack good songwriting. They sound good but are lacking the aforementioned.Vulnicura is good, btw.
>>130178015What about Medulla, Volta, Biophilia?
>>130178630Biophilia is extremely underrated
>>130178630Medulla is perfect.Volta and Bio are mid.
>>130173398Vaginal music
>>130173398One of the best albums this decade so far
>>130178015Stonemilker is my favorite Bjork song.>>130178946Moon got me into Bjork.
>>130178946Definitely one of her most fully realized albums, concept and production wise. The production and musician credits are quite impressive and some of the best featured on a Björk album. Leila Arab, Mark Bell's last time working on a Björk album, El Guincho's first time working on an album of hers, Fossora being the second, plus so many interesting instruments that were custom built being used on the album to great effect. For the amount of work that went into this album, it sure doesn't get the love it deserves. Fossora felt along those lines too.
>>130180926And the couple of albums after Biophilia had mainly Arca taking over production instead of the wide array of electronic music producers from before. So Fossora coming out and featuring a new gabber producer and a range of clarinet players, I thought it'd definitely attract better ratings
>>130178015Correct take. Her songwriting has become half-assed in a way it rarely ever was before. When I hear shit like Sue Me it makes me want to put my head in my handsEven with the less extreme examples, you can tangibly feel that she hardly ever bothers trying to write a full song that develops in any direction. Instead she'll come up with a loop of about 5 notes, then sing it 30 times while awkwardly cramming sentences of different lengths into it (often feeling more like passive-aggressive tweets than lyrics). Then build up the electronic instrumentation over the course of the track to cover for the lack of anything happening with the melody at all.Once you hear her doing this you will never unhear it and it will possibly ruin all post-Vulnicura bork for you, but you will gain new appreciation for how much better Vulnicura and everything before it is, which is a fair tradeoff imo.
Ancestress is top 10 Bjork.
>>130183556not even in her top 30
