Is there a more obvious industry plant? Who the fuck even listens to her and how did her debut album get the most streams on Spotify that year? It all feels completely inorganic. I've never even heard a song of hers.
>>130182441Every clip of her singing live is hilariously bad. The music is garbage and not demanding, and she cant even perform it.
It's not just her, the whole industry is shifting from organic to artificial. Starting with Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Ice Spice, Olivia Rodrigo. The future is extremely liberal women who are pushing the "hate all men" narrative, which is what big execs at the music industry want them to do. It's a pretty fair trade, you find a really liberal girl, and you offer to force her music on everyone as long as she offers to spread your political agenda to her fans it's easy. Lol.
>>130182948>starting with Billie eilish lol. Lmao.Bruh this started as far back as Brittney spears at least. All the biggest acts since then (Bieber, drake, Taylor) have been plants
They've been plants since at least the 60s you rose tinted gays, starting with the RnB negros
they're just getting nervous because taytay is too old now, but they don't want to give up their money printer
it gets worse when you realize that /mu/ is just a board for labels to promote their music under the guise of “grassroots” or “organic growth”. You see it all the time, K-pop and wpop. Popstars, “indie” artists. It’s all paid promotion. This board wouldn’t exist if they didn’t allow advertisers to market their shill campaigns. it’s all so tiresome
>>130183334/moo/ is way too dead to care about these days.Maybe in the 2010s
>>130183347It happened back then, especially. I’ve been around long enough to see multiple artists careers take off just because people on /mu/ gave them attention
>>130183257Kendrick is probably the biggest plant of them all, surprised you didnt mention him
>>130183334If I see one more Geese thread I'm shooting up this board in Minecraft
>>130183328This. It’s always this. That’s why there have been so many Bieber clones in the last few years. That’s why Rodrigo is basically just brownish Taylor (changing ethnic demographics, lot more Hispanics, etc)
She has been very clear about her childhood and getting into the industry. She is an LA native. Her parents have been building her connections in the industry since she was a child. None of this is a secret she talks about it openly in interviews and stuff. I'm not mad when this type of stuff happens if the parties are open and honest about it.
>>130182441Taylor Swift, Billy Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, every single pop girl artist promoted her single Drivers License on instagram the night it dropped. I follow a good chunk of those girls and I remember being shocked at all of them promoting her song.
>>130182441>Is there a more obvious industry plant? She was literally on the disney channel
>>130182441She was a Disney kid, like most 21st century popstars
I WANNA SEE OLIVIA’s RODRIGO
>>130184614Fpbp
>>130184614I WANNA RODRIGO OLIVIA'S C
>>130182441Olivia's Rodrigo is living rent free in your head.
>>130182441>>130182948How are we defining industry plant?
>>130182948>The future is extremely liberal women who are pushing the "hate all men" narrative, which is what big execs at the music industry want them to do. >>130183257Britney and Bieber have actual talent and the latter was discovered on YouTube. Can't argue with Aubrey or Taylor being blatant plants though.
