It is odd how 40 years later this album does better to represent the 2020s than anything released this decade.
Why is all modern music fake happiness when the times do not reflect it? You would think it would bring out the realness of people for once.

I listened to this album constantly as an angsty teenager and thought it reflected my worldview and perspectives perfectly. Now I find it too uncomfortable to listen too because it sounds like something an angsty teenager would make. Albums like this are only relevant when you're under 25, hate everything and think you and you alone have all the answers.

Mainstream music has always been mostly happy catchy songs for people to party, that's not new. Generally people listen to music to get fun not to get sad. That said, I'm sure there is also music like what you posted made today.
