this was one of the earlier youtube marketing schemes. rivers did like 4 months worth of episodes/vlogs on the weezer youtube channel under the guise of "fans help write a weezer song". it was just dragged out for views. nothing ever got "written". it was just rivers rambling for 10 minutes at a time and MAYBE one minute of going through a few submitted fan ideas and basically just rewriting everything they submitted. the song never even ended up on red album. fuck rivers.
