>highest selling album of the 2000sThis was every older zoomer's introduction to the Beatles
>>130194641Damn, old /mu/ used to hate this band. Better times.
>>130194641MJ bros I thought our favorite pedophile popstar was the most popular oh no no no
>>130194641Cirque du Soleil for me
>>130194680Heres to another 5 years.
>>130194680fpwp
>>130194641The 2 best beatles albums, according to zoomers/younger millennials. Interesting, how much more popular Magical Mystery Tour seems to be with younger people, while music critics are still picking Revolver, Sgt.Pepper, or the White album over it.
>>130194797>no made in the AM>no fourAlright retard. Zayn beat his meat and Louis
>>130194797Their real two best:
>>130194641They did a good job of condensing down the catalog to <80mins, but I'd replace Eleanor Rigby with Strawberry Fields. And maybe Ballad of… with Revolution.
>>130194818Wallpaper?
>>130194863Anon, the '1' comes from the fact that it compiles all of their number-one hits
>>130194641My '98 zoomer brother loved Love unironically
>>1301946411992 millennial here, that was my first Beatles album and probably the CD that turned me into an actual music fan
>>130194797>younger millennialsWhere are you seeing that?
>>130194797those are mine and i am an older zoomer. abbey road is hard to beat being basically a greatest hits on side a and a successful mini SMiLE on side b. magical mystery tour has the best songs and is both more consistent, more kaleidoscopic and more novel in parts than sgt pepper. lovely rita is bad. fixing a hole and getting better could have been more instrumentally fleshed out to distinguish them from each other and with a little help from my friends. very similar beats on each. the only problem with magical mystery tour is maybe the filler flying.but of course they're all very close.
>>130194863Eleanor Rigby and Strawberry Fields Forever are both already on there.
>>130194929They shouldn't have been. Both were totally shit songs.
>>130194895Yeah, but my substitutes were double A-sides so they kinda count, no? Besides, Day Tripper/WCWIO are both on there.
>>130194928Most of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club ban is trashthe album gets overrated because it gets overhyped due to aesthetic and historical reasons
>>130194910i love it too. one of the best plunderphonics project, if it counts. makes songs that are already great sound like legends.
I'm 37 and I've never and will never listen to a Beatles album.
>>130194863>>130194895>>130194928>>130194942Interesting, /mu/ before 2016 absolutely hated this band and would bully you if you even insinuating you liked it. I take it you're new here? You wouldn't have lasted a day.
>>130194932I've heard far worse from the Beatles so I didn't mind themAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH
>>130194950that's just you being a contrarianBeatles worship didn't die until last decade so you 100% were pressured to listen to them growing up and chose not to out of neckbearded spite
>>130194942title track, with a little help from my hands (within the context of the album, especially with that transition), lucy in the sky with diamonds, nfor the benefit of mr kite, she's leaving home, a day in the life are great. the last two are some of the best songs every written. within you without you and when im sixty four, are also memorable and provide the diversity which is the concept of the album.
>>130194951>>1301948185 years!
>>130194641I listened to this album so much as a kid that even to this day when I hear Revolver and Eleanor Rigby ends I still subconsciously expect the first few notes of Penny Lane to pop up right after.
>>130194970First of all, I weigh 134lbs at 5'10'', and don't have a beard. I am not even remotely neckbearded in appearance. Second, yeah, I heard Beatles faggotry growing up, which is how I knew to stay the fuck away from it. Being subjected to lead-brained boomers eyes going bloodshot over their praise about The Beatles and how fucking brilliant they are, and watching kids being indoctrinated into this fucking garbage and then thinking it's part of their family tradition to poison the minds of every upcoming generation, I'm fucking tired of hearing about this stupid fucking band. It's the worst band to come out of the UK and achieve popularity. They suck, they're gay, their band name is fucking gay. WE'RE THE BEATULS, MATE. ISN'T THAT A HIP NAME, CHIP CHIP CHEERIO. BELL THE BOBBIES.FUCKING GAY. Gay, dumb, piece of shit fucking retard band singing about cringe fucking hippy bullshit. WE'RE ON ACID MATE. WE'RD DOING THE WEED. AND WE'RE LIKE MELODIOUS. JINGLE JANGLE TAPPPY TAPPY TWEE FAGGOT SHIT, MATEY.Fuck The Beatles. Gay bullshit merch band. DA BETULS.HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
>>130194641Beatles rock band was also every older zoomers intro to the beatles. I wish I played that game since I loved rock band and guitar hero back then. I had aerosmith GH which I fucking hate aerosmith
>>130194827>>130194972>>130195038Absolute shit taste. Here's their actual best, compiled by my partner and me:
>>130195043You hate them so much you and boyband fag are willing to stink up threads saying how gay they are and will never listen to them. Get a fucking life you worm
>>130194641I still think it’s the best introduction to the Beatles. It has all the most essential tracks that every casual needs to know on one disc, unlike the pedantry of Past Masters or Anthology which are more for completists and superfans.
>>130195049Mogged hard beyond belief
>>130194922RYM, aoty.org... Magical Mystery Tour is probably the Beatles album that aged the best, given that's nearly always the favorite of people who like 2000s rock, look at the profile of any : Muse, Linkin Park, The Killers, Evanescence, the Strokes, MCR, MGMT etc... fans, you're guaranteed to almost always find those 2 together...
>>130195049This is mental illness
>>130195091and
>>130195098I Am The Walrus is really their only truly impressive song.
That, and Revolution 9.
>>130195126Okay Frank Zappa
>>130195084PM and Anthology aren't meant as introductions.
>>130195130The Mothers > The Beatles
>>130195154That is a good album
>>130195134I mean compared to the other major compilations. There aren’t many.
>>130195162This one is better:
>>130195182I prefer Absolutely Free
>>130194641I love my dad for buying this and forever elevating my taste in music
>>130195181Red and Blue are right there, chief.
>>130194912Same. It's a great introduction. That said, if I could start over, I would've started with the Red and Blue Albums. They have so many more great tunes:https://youtu.be/1-bvYQJmJ6I
>>130194797White and MMT are their two best
>>130195867the blue one was the first beatles album i got and it was on a cassette tape my parent bought me from some secondhand shopgood shit
>>130194641>add a zero and get george's cock size in inchesClever
>title is the number of good songs on the albumlol just kidding guyspeace & love

>>130194680>>130194818>>130194951Die in a fire
>>130194641No it wasn't.
>>130197277>James Blunt #1
>>130194641way too much grannyshit on that album>Oh boy, 27 tracks! And 26 of them are Paul's! Even Maxwell's magic squirrel is on here!pic related, the superior album
>>130194641>>130198120>0 Ringo number #1s>1 George number #1s>6 John number #1s>20 Paul number #1sPaul carried those hacks so hard.
>>130198252Perhaps, although here comes the sun is a timeless tune for the ages, so it is surely worth around 20 other number 1s.
>>130198304You're forgetting While My Guitar Gently Weeps, another George tune
>>130194680>>130194818>>130194951Live and prosper
>>1301981201 has ZERO grannyshit
