Got a Vintera 3 Jag, huge step up from my old V1. CTS electronics, cloth wiring, bone nut, whatever trem they put on it is the best I’ve ever played. Very rare that a Fender offset is nearly perfect out of the box, but this one did. It’s got some pretty significant upgrades and cost less than I was expecting. Glad I held out and didn’t get the AmPro or whatever the most recent MIA Jag is called, this feels as good if not better and has some components that one is lacking.

Make a good gift for a newb too. If you're creative, you can take off the rubber stomp pad and put a piece of plexi plastic there with your printed out circle of fifths diagram or your set-list underneath it. Whatever you wish, it's there for you when you need it. I'd make the wooden ones with a drawer that you can store strings or a strings winder, tuner, etc in it.
