This is the first piece of music that I've heard come out of the 2020s that feels like it's going to be timeless. I only even found out about them because I saw about the shill campaign so I don't care about that
>>
I somewhat agree but I think it really just comes down to novelty, if it were the 90s they'd be a C-list landfill band but since it's the 2020s and we're in such a drought for anything that sounds even remotely like weird rock music they ended up being a breath of fresh air. 3D Country was still the better album though
>>
>>130205306
I prefer Heavy Metal but I enjoy both desu. Still haven't listened to 3D Country I should get on that
>>
>>130205306
Wow you are a collosal faggot. No one will care about this band in 10 years
>>
>>130205306
I found it to be shallow and pedantic
>>
Getting Killed? More like Getting Shilled
Cameron Winter? More like Scameron Winter lmao gottem!
>>
>>130205306
I have no idea how people can listen to this, black midi, black country new road. Some of the worst music ever made. Up there with Polyphia, Sleep Token in my book

Any one of these bands is better more memorable
>>

>I prefer Heavy Metal
I put that on and thought so poorly of it that I had to immediately relisten to getting killed to make sure that I actually liked it as much as I thought I did

Windmill Scene is genuinely the most annoying, contrived, pretentious shit I've ever heard
I actually don't mind Geese though, I don't think Cameron has a bad voice and I respect the Television/Velvet Underground/Zappa influence more than I respect whatever the fuck the Brits are doing.
>>
>>130205306
They suck but they also killed rap shit, so for that reason I will support them
>>
>>130205470
Stolen valor
>>
>>130205306
Based. It's one of the best of the decade i've heard for sure.
>>
>>130205306
Fuck off Chaotic Good Projects. Shill yout shit elsewhere
>>
I think it's pretty good (I don't listen to rock music) but not that great or anything
>>
Ants From Up There became a flash in the pan, but you think these niggers will remain timeless?
>>
>>130209209
don't use the n-word, even ironically/for satire/as a generic word
>>
The geese nigger just sounds like a bad imitation of Van Morrison, without any of the grace or sovl or sophistication

Get a load of this nigger
>>
I really hate this culture that exaggeratedly over praises the most mediocre, shitty, or passable things. Posts like these or the comments on anything a middling pop star does. The words "timeless" and "iconic" have never meant less.
>>
Geese is for masochists. Musical blue balls.
>>
>>130205429
Sleep Token at least has poser bitches listening to them.
Only male bitches listen to Geese and the rest.
>>
>>130205306
>This is the first piece of music that I've heard come out of the 2020s that feels like it's going to be timeless
That's fucking bleak.
>>
>>130205306
I listened to it I don't get it and I'm pissed the jew front man banged Olivia so I have a moral obligation to shit on these guys in every thread about them, sorry
>>
>>130209209
True, Ants From Up There is genuinely a very good album (you only need to speed it up by 1.5x at times) if that album didn't manage to leave a lasting impact, or worse, if even The New Abnormal fails to, then the era of "rock classics" is truly over, that is - new "classic albums" won't exist again. geese is nothing next to those 2, so I expect it to essentially disappear into irrelevance within 1 year.

I like Geese, so it's not a hater's perspective, but it doesn't matter what you think right now
hype is hype and you're impacted by it

for reference, picrel is someone in 2012 firmly believing that Merriweather Post Pavilion by fucking Animal Collective was also going to be timeless, iconic and still immediately recognizable by """everyone""" 30 years on from that day (so in the 2040s lmao)
>>
>>130205306
Completely unmemorable.
>>
>>130209978
Its been 5 years and you still recognize it.
Might as well be the same band. Cameron and Julian are both NepoBabies
>>
I hate the cover art.
>>
>>130209241
not even close
>>
>>130209241
No one has ever actually heard a VM song irl except "Brown Eyed Girl" though.
>>
>>130209241
Idiotic take that'sinsulting to Van Morrison. He sounds like an even more goofy, moronic, insufferable version of the guy from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.
>>
>>130210301
why was Cuckgau so obsessed with that guy that he reviewed like every single one of his albums ever?
>>
They don't really rock too hard tbqh.

Only zoomers are listening to bad music. They're desperate for a zoomer to make 'good' music, but it's never going to happen.
>>
>>130209209
They're much better than BCNR.

Getting Shilled
(again)

This album been Getting Shilled on /mu/ for more than 7 months by the way.
>>
>>130209978
they're probably right though, if people still listen to indie music in the 2040s that's probably going to be an album cover people recognize because it was their most popular album.

otherwise what albums form the 2000s are people who are into music going to remember in 2040?

I liked this album when it came out and kept listening to it for a month or two, but haven't felt the need to relisten since then.
So idk about this being timeless, though it surely will be notable. Especially since rock is essentially dead, this will be considered among the last gasps of rock revival
