It baffles me that someone can still have mental problems such as depression and anxiety while having sex and being loved by beautiful cute hot girls. If a cute , genuinely caring lovley girl cooked for him, slept with him , and caress his face with her hands, I doubt that he would have checked out early.

he had epilepsy and was going through a divorce. sure, he supposedly had that french chick on the side (though she says it was all platonic), but sometimes that's not enough to keep you from ending it

He should have saw that divorce as a blessing, who the fuck marries at the age of 19, it's irrational. The chance of fucking it all up is too big. Of course in the peak high adrenaline moments during sex, you might say and think that you want to marry the girl and have 5 children with her and fight a fucking grizzly bear for her, but that's just the brain being submerged in those love endorfins chemicals. Not a sensible decision at all, people should have taken notice of that early on and kept an eye on him.

it's really circumstantial at the end of the day. i mean, our grandparents used to get married at young ages like that and it was commonplace. of course, in today's society you have far greater obstacles in relationships that didn't exist back then, such as social media, temptation, etc..

ian's timeline would have in-between those two periods. i think it still would have been considered normal, though he probably never anticipated that he'd end up in a popular indie band, which wouldn't have done his marriage any favours.
