Is there an objectively worst song on this thing?
>>130234619Lullaby
>>130234622Retard
>>130234619Lovesong easily
>>130234619no
>>130234622It is obviously Plainsong. You are baiting
>>130234639this for me, its so obviously the single that was lumped on there
>>130234619Lovesong, but only because of outside factors>biggest single from the record, lots of radio overplay>used in a Adam Sandler romcom>Adele covered it on her biggest album
>>130234622Weak bait m8
If anybody says the title track, I am going to rage so hard
>>130234622Bait>>130234619Are we allowed to include the bonus tracks because there are so many amazing bonus tracks on this thing
>>130234649>Plainsongholy shit i'm mad
>>130234711Explain yourself. I have always wanted to enjoy this song. But I always found it so boring. Plain, even
>>130234687Don't worry, anybody who says that is just bating
Plainsong
>>130234619Plainsong is obvious but people fetishize it because it was the first second they ever heard of this masterpiece album
Closedown
This thread sent me into an existential crisis, but I think i'm ready to answer plainsong
>>130234663If this wasn't a single but was some kind of deep cut or bonus track, would you feel the same way?
The entire thread is bait. There is no worst song on Disintegration
Pictures of YouAdmit it you were some young idiot when you liked the song, the last time you even heard it with any kind of wonder in your eyes
>>130234802There are plenty deep-cuts and B-side songs that become overplayed radio hits, so yes
>>130234717its famously one of those songs where you turn on the record and almost immediately the listener is blown away by the hugeness of it and the immense melancholy
>>130234771unironically in my top 3 and sometimes my favorite, the single verse is extemely powerful>NEVER SLEEP FOR WANTING>AND USELESSLY ALWAYS THE NEED>TO FEEL AGAIN THE REAL BELIEF>FILL MY HEART... WITH LOVE
>>130234824i never grow out of music i used to like
>>130234771Yeah. Closedown is a 20 second loop that does nothing for 4 minutes and culminates in a limp crash cymbal. There's some really cheesy SNES-style string synths on some of the other songs but I don't think they're nearly as bad as Closedown. Still a fantastic album.
Untitled isn't bad, but it's the only skip for me.
>>130235296wow another song I adore, this is the most pleasant happy tune on the album and its a great way to end it, that and the contrasting chord melodies from the different synths is really neat sounding, guess theres a lot of people that only like the dark goth shit on here
>>130234663The secret is to not watch Adam Sandler rom-coms or listen to Adele albums. You're welcome.
>>130234918Maybe if you aren't familiar with music
>>130235016Then you aren't growing
>>130234639>>130234663I never got why this was liked so much. It's bland to me.
>>130235714This.Ok so the answer is a tie between Plainsong and Lovesong
>>130234622>>130234639Yeah, fucking dislike those songs, and I hate myself for it
>>130235296It's the best track off the album, you pleb.
>>130237673You're jokingPlainsong is the worst song
>>130238210Get the fuck out of here
>>130234619Pictures of You, which is the worst song ever recorded by any band
>>130234619no they are all good>>130234622abhorrent take
>>130234717nta but plainsong's always been one of my favs off disintegration. Probably impossible to give you anything that'll help you like it, but it's just a really massive beautiful melancholy piece of music that sets the tone for the record wonderfully. Those first 3 tracks is an untouchable opening sequence imo, my favorite track has alternated between those 3 for the past 20 years
>>130234619every track is good, but Homesick is the least important to me probably>>130235016same for the most part. My first favorite music was green day and blink cuz I was 8 in 1999. Many people I know moved on from that shit and look back on it as cringey shit they liked before they developed taste but idk, I was there and remember what it felt like, I can still access it just fine. My whole theory of taste is that it's just about "access", where the ultimate goal is to access everything but I doubt I'll ever get there
