A long time ago they obviously came out with who was really responsible for each Beatles song. I wrote down my favorite songs and then counted who'd written each of them. I was surprised to find McCartney had written the vast majority of my favorites. Lennon and Harrison were exactly tied for second place, which is striking because Harrison was actually responsible for very few of the songs they actually recorded, which just highlights how weak Lennon's songwriting actually is, at least according to my taste.
