It's incredibly pathetic to complain about GY!BE's popularity and even treat them as if they're responsible for a supposed decline in the quality of post-rock as a genre. Dude, they're a band that only survives on music geek forums these days; you talk as if you could easily find someone listening to them on the street, or as if scrolling through the YouTube comments of their songs would reveal things like "someone in 2026"; you're just plain pretentious to complain about something like that. You know, I'd even say that thanks to this band, the sound, or the idea, of post-rock has reached more people, allowing other albums in the genre to reach a wider audience thanks to the growing interest in this style. Just appreciate what's good when it's right in front of you.

Godspeed's sick and they def have moments that aren't just crescendocore shit, but they also have plenty of shit that is crescendorcore to a T. Lift your skinny fists is almost entirely that.They're a good band but I do think it's true that within the realm of post-rock they're nowhere near the top, imo
