Have hardly played any of my other electrics other than my Tele since I got this Strat. Whenever I play anything else I pretty quickly put it away and pick one of these two up. I love all of my guitars but honestly I’d be perfectly happy with just these two and my Gibson acoustic.

i put a bass string to my bass and it was buzzing and i thought it was a truss rod issue but i had no jackshit idea how to adjust it so i brought it to the nearest luthier.
turns out i bought a wrong set of bass string (i didn't notice it was specifically for a short-scale bass although when i was putting it i did feel something wrong because it did feel shorter) and dude had some adjustment i didn't know how and now it's playable for now. i mentioned the price which i bought the string and the dude was like 'well i think it's too soon to buy a proper string after you splurged that much'

Big muffs aren't good pedals. Get a distortion pedal like a DS1 or a RAT and quit using obsolete bullshit. They get the "durr" sound and actually allow dynamic playing and they fit in a live mix

the ds1 & sd1 are the worst sounding pedals in the world

Those pickup covers are hot. Why is there a 5way switch though, and where are the amp controls?
>>

The switch is 3-way and it goes between straight to jack, clean, and distorted. You don't need any more control than that.

>tor pedo craptor
I had that thing and it was fucking garbage. It made my glorious mark iv and atype/vtype 2x12 sound as flat and shit as an early amp sim. Cranked tube tone is about the speaker more than the tubes. Raw power tube distortion without a pushed speaker actually sounds pretty shitty. Sell that meme and buy an sm57 and e906, you can get good tones mixing them at <95db. Maybe put a fethead on the 57 if your interface is as shit as your turdbox.

>>130253586
>you dont deserve it

lol all anyone even uses 4x12s for is recording their noodling for soundcloud and self entertainment. it’s literally home furniture. live sound doesn’t benefit from supreme toan and has moved on.

I have the following options:
1. Use the terror's built-in attenuator.
2. Turn the amp down.
3. Captor X.
Out of the 3, the Captor X is better. Open to other ideas for better sound at the same volume.

10 reasons your bedroom stack sounds like shit
1: The terror simply doesn’t sound that good in person, and oranges generally do not without high volume, speaker effect included, and the rest of the band. Fender and mesa are the bedroom wanker amps.
2: Your speakers are probably too sensitive (shoot for <97db/1w, 3db drop = 1/2 vol) and are a cutting midsy fizz because the ppc212 is meant for live use, not bedroom wank. You should be using a convertible semi open cab with more appropriate speakers.
3: Your playing doesn’t sound that good. This is assured.
4: Your room (cardboard apartment) doesn’t sound that good
5: You’re not mixing mics or double tracking, which you have to for sparse mixes and solo guitar. Get sm57, e906/609, and some LDC but looking at you you’d probably buy a ribbon for your 035s lmao
6: Your /gg/ meme guitar collection doesn’t sound that good
7: all your strings are old
8: your pick is dull
9: loose butthole = loose tone, tighten it up
10: you got drunk or high last night
Bonus: you’re probably a furfag. furfags have fuzzy limp tone.

Sims sound legit shit and merely caught up to a well dialed in boss katana. Only good enough for music that sounds legit shit like metal and uh, "worship guitar". Otherwise the real thing will always be better in person, more fun to use, and better sounding to anyone who has the capacity to care (so, not anyone that listens to metal)
>>
>>130257294
My dad put three of those together with sketchy ebay kits back in the 10's. Looking at some of the modern amazon dropshipped kits (scar my guitar on youtube has a few) they actually look pretty fun. I was looking at a tele kit but I know for a fact I'll need a fret leveler file and better electronics but in theory everything else should be good to go considering how cheap basic parts are with the modern supply chain and how good CNC wood milling is now.
Oh, and does anyone know if boiled linseed oil with beeswax would be good enough for a guitar finish? I liked it on my grandfather's axes and I want to stay away from poly and nitro spray cans are 60$ a pop and you need at least 3 cans.

blo and wax will look old as shit in no time. Rattle cans always rip you off, but a real spray setup is an investment. Truoil should be the default algo. Branch off if there's something specific you need.
>>
>>130258185
terrible for a finish, boiled linseed oil or tung oil on its own is fine because it polymerizes. the beeswax would get in the way of that, but you can use non-curing regular linseed oil and beeswax in a 2:1 ratio for a fretboard conditioner. I’d honestly recommend tru oil because it’s BLS with catalysts so you can add coats every 4 hours instead of every other day which you will want if you’re going for a gloss finish which will take 15-20 coats

I have 2 electrics but I never play them. I just play on the acoustic guitar and it's dead. I already had a tuner snap off so those got replaced. And the bridge peeled off so that's why the finish is all chipped around it where I filed and reglued it. Now after years of service it's dead.
>>
>>130259513
Just get some clamps and Titebond
>>
>>130259630
It cracked vertically on the back along the truss rod as well and fell off overnight with the string tension. I wouldn't trust it to not just snap under string tension.
>>
>>130258462
That actually looks like a nice thin poly finish. Is that a pine body? The soft wood is probably more at fault here.
>>
>>130259612
>>130259661
Also this is all my fault as I played it with extra heavy strings for about a year just to make my fingers stronger. They were heavy to the point that nobody could barre anything but me. This was also in Arizona with zero moisture.
>>
>>130258462
Thats the wood being shit not the paint. It probably had a pre-existing structural defect. Did you find remnants of a knot or indications of a crack/void that was filled before painting?
The paints problem is being a PITA to remove/match because fender poly is a complex multi-layer thing.
