>Speaking about his early days as a DJ on a black radio station in Memphis, King recalled "The station manager told them don't bother correcting me if I couldn't speak proper English. I never could. You can't sing the blues if you speak properly. That's why a lot of white folks can't do blues. They don't got the pain or pride or heartbreak of being black."[87]

He was right and it was why white British men grabbing their crotches and saying "BABY BABY BABY" 20x a song couldn't sing the blues either for that matter.

All of his relevant career when he made all of the music anyone actually cared about was pre-white fanbase though.

none of that is relevant today or even the past 50 years to anyone but whites

Wouldn't he also say (if still alive) the few blacks who still play the blues also don't have the old feel either? His observation probably is more based on the fact that the record business exploded from a backwater where most of the players grew up poor into a mega industry in 60s and 70s where most players grew up middle class?

I mean you could probably say the same about country music. The trailblazers almost all grew up dirt poor, until middle class kids took over when it became big.

you could have argued that rap also died from becoming a plaything of middle class hipsters starting with Kanye

That's nice and all but has this nigger written a riff as cool as Heartbreaker?
>>
>>130253960
Do you actually have data for that or do you just assume?
>>
>>130253981
That's not true, im sure 5 seconds of a king riff was stolen for a hip hop beat.
