>Absolutely MOGS every other Swedeath album ever madeHow did they do it?
The lamer the cover, the better the metal.
>>130266546Dark Tranquility were always better
not even in the top 30
>>130269363That's not lame it looks like something out of bloodborne
>>130269389At least it doesn't have comic sans
>>130266546Based ass nigger knows Baal. Bullet Ride is one of the greatest metal songs ever written. (Idc that it is not on this record)
>>130266546>gets mogged by other in flames albums
>>130269363That reminds me of the actual best melodeath band
>>130269379Absurd statement
>>130269805you're a tourist, of course it seems absurd to you
>>130269892I am the world's foremost metal archivist
>>130266546>Shallowness and beauty
>>130266546>>130269368Mirrorworlds mogs
>>130270046>To the epoch of indifference.
The best In Flames album (The Jester Race) doesn't even clear the top 50 swede-death albums. In Flames kinda sucks.
>>130266546What I want to know is why there aren't more bands like In Flames when they were at their best. There are a couple of virtually unknown Swedish copycat bands that don't even come close and that's about it. I don't care that it's not hardcore enough or whatever, I want more!
>>130269368My favorites are Skydancer and Projector
>>130272214They've always been at their best, Anders writes amazing lyrics, pouring his heart on every verse, every note, every song.
>>130272327>They've always been at their best,I don't even think they truly believe that. And I say that as someone who appreciates many of their styles.
>>130272335Battles is weak of, sounds like a burnout work, which is very understandable, yet even there you can find great lyrics like wallflower.
>>130272459I like wallflower as well, even though I don't really like the pacing overall (for some reason their worst albums all seem to have a lot of dramatic pauses). I think their singles were always decent, even when the rest of the album wasn't.
>>130272214Funny how people used to dismiss Soilwork as poor man's In Flames but they ended up being more consistentTheir late albums are genuinely good by radio metal standards
>>130272214The Halo Effect tried to be that but their production is too modern
>>130274186The Halo Effect sound more like new Dark Tranquility than old In Flames
