What is your opinion of Ozzy Osbourne?

I like Ozzy but he's kind of overrated. He wasn't a musician, wasn't even a great singer, and I doubt he ever had any creative input whatsoever in anything he ever did. He would not have gone far in life had he not been supported by people who actually did have talent, and a ruthless business manager wife who gets a lot of hate but it is likely responsible for all of his post-Sabbath success. He's more of an entertainment personality than an artist, kind of reminds me of a manufactured pop star but for metalheads.

First 5 Sabbath and first 2 solo albums are solid imo. Whatever the extent of his creative input was, he was on them and was a great showman. He also does sing great in some, e.g., A National Acrobat or Snowblind.
