I bought 4 small boxes of vinyl records from an older lady having a garage sale for $25 each. Sight unseen, though I did verify that the boxes had vinyl records inside. I told her that she could almost certainly sell the records individually for a lot more, but she said not to worry about it.

This stuff was before my time, so I need help on figuring out what's what, what's good, what's not, etc. The records mostly seem to be from the 1970's and 80's, from the few I have looked at so far. I'm going to pull them out of the first two boxes and photograph their spines.

Looks like a lot of blues and jazz with some pop albums and comedy/regional folk records. 45 items in Box 1, though some are compilations with multiple records.

Emerson Lake & Palmer, the blues records probably. Save National Lampoon just because, get a good case if it's in ok shape.

Box 2 has 48 items, including several classical compilations. The Bach set alone is 18 individual records. The black box is Mozart set with 8 records.

Also, Box 2 has the only single so far - a 1987 pressing of REM's 'The One I Love.'

Let's see what's going on in Box 3. My curiosity is winning out.

Box 3 has 58 items and seems to have a lot of folk-pop (a bunch of Cat Stevens records, for example).

Sure. The Sibelius records both have von Karajan conducting.

The back of the Bach record is a bit scuffed.

many thanks OP. I'd get all 4 of them if I had the chance. Karajan is almost always worth the time, and I love organ and harpsichord music. dunno if you plan to listen to or resell it, if it's the latter I suppose you won't have a hard time

I got that European organ album in mint condition out of the dollar bin at my local shop a few yrs ago. Possibly the best blind purchase ive ever made. Enjoy
