>no nu metal revival/nostalgia despite of industry variously pushing pop punk, emo etc nostalgia
thank god
>another beautiful day with no nu metal
>>130276760You're wrong, buddy. Zoomer Nu-Metal is a thing. Tallah, Moodring, Thornhill, Wargasm (UK), Graphic Nature and a few others have all formed in the last 11 years and are actively making music.
>>130276760Hm...>Linkin Park has extended their From Zero World Tour well into 2026, with the initial 6 months turning into 2 years, with the final scheduled performance set for June 30, 2026, in Zürich, Switzerland. The tour, which supports their 2024 album From Zero, features the current lineup of Mike Shinoda, Emily Armstrong, Colin Brittain, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, and Joe Hahn, with Alex Feder standing in for Brad Delson during the tour, marking their first full global tour since 2017. Seems nu-metal is thriving OP.
>>130276943DEI is a meme it never really existed, /pol/.
>>130276943>sings about getting raped in the ass>too straight white guy codedSounds about right.
>>130276979hi deranged leftoid
Bizkit and Korn are hot rn
>>130276943Most of the white dude audience listens to country now afaik.
>>130276943It was music for bullied 13yo boys.
>>130276943>>130276986>>130277024it's more because the industry is not interested in pushing loud pissed off music nowadays. why that is is anyone's guess but clearly they assume audiences prefers chill vibe shit now.
>>130276760It's hard to feel nostalgic for a style of music that sounds fucking miserable by design.
>>130277040The flowcharts/focus groups/AI analyses probably indicate that young people are all on SSRIs/THC, so you only get anemic pop now. The popularity of bands like Deftones and Turnstile also reflects this, it's 'heavy' music you can still fall asleep to.
>>130276943>that was mostly bro/jock musicIt was for rural retards that came from broken homes with meth addicted parents. SOAD is probably the most normiecoded nu-metal because they're not screeching about MUH FEEELINGS FUCK YOU BULLIES
>>130277288>>130277040they already did that in the 70s it was called prog rock>chill in your beanbag while smoking weed and listening to Renaissance
>>130276760Meteora mogs anything 99% of 20th rock bands ever recorded, including all Led Zeppelin, nearly all Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd etc... outputs. I'm glad, when it comes to this genre, the new generation isn't as dumb as millennials, don't have a stick up their butt, or are as pathetic, pretentious losers as them, and the old rym trash that birthed stomp clap and the rest of 00s indie slop, hope to see Meteora in the top 1500 albums on rym one day.
There was a genuine attempt in the '10s but it never took off.https://youtu.be/CiXrpsPPtMo

>>130276760There's lots of underground stuff and nu-gaze that could countBlend 27, Symposia, Postdrome, Bleed, Split Chain, Anemic, the list can go on...
>>130276760They tried it, it flopped
>>130277024At least 90% of posters on this website were bullied 13yo boys at one point.
>>130276760I literally moshed to covers of limp bizkit and Linkin park 2 weeks ago
Nu metal is kind off an evolutionary dead end, its gone everywhere it can go. Now it just serves as inspiration for some of today's octanecore, prog metal, and emo rap bands. Either way I think were only going to get a couple more years of nu metal nostalgia before its simply folded and dissolved into culture
The best nu-metal nostalgia band is Rise of the Northstarhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IW_y31bRW3M
>>130276760the establishment doesnt like aggressive white male shit
>>130276979>>>/r/ope, leftshit
>>130276760It is happening though. I work with a bunch of zoomers and they constantly listen to this slop
Nu metal is no longer needed to create a wiggerfied, retarded population.
>>130276760Deftones is huge with the kids. All the top nu metal artists monthly listeners went way up the past three years
And the reason why they don't want to bring it back despite it's slow but organic rising comeback is very self explanatory if you watched Woodstock '99https://youtu.be/HD0f9yGSge8?si=ZtdoWPy8cOLgRq8r
