I'm coming here as a new comer. I've never heard of the velvet underground, or of the meme guy. Where should I start?
The first 2 songs off Malice Mizer's merveilles
>>130279829Lou Reed's unreleased soundtrack to the movie Car Wash is some of his best work
>>130280730Depends on what you're into. Their debut is iconic and serves well as a medium between their simplistic accessible "pop" songs and their more experimental outbursts, but I think it's spotty. More culturally important than musically significant. Their self-titled 1969 is possibly them at their most well composed and focused: a lot of hauntingly raw and beautiful moments. but if you're into their allure as an outre group, then give White Light/White Heat a go. It's definitely a trip, maybe not as wild compared to modern music but they were definitely trying to push their audience
