Jesus anon, 38k? How do you typically discover new music?
>>
I swear some of you don't even like music. If it were up to me, you wouldn't be allowed to post here
>>
curious how old this makes me seem to others
>>
I'm not proud of the person I was in 2016, so I'm not posting it. If I could time travel, I would beat the everloving shit out of the normalfag spigger that I was.

Absolute rookie numbers. I have no idea why that was my first song. Dilla, 6,114 minutes.
>>

Every single one of my songs i have picked and played. I don't have a playlist, bitch.
>>
>>130285989
Definitely not. I handpicked my entire playlist.

Well, what I’ll do is put certain songs I enjoy the most from specific genres into playlists and then turn off repeat and play the last song on the playlist to get recommended similar songs after it ends. I’ve been diving into house and techno for the last couple years and I’ve found a lot of really good sounding stuff this way. Discover weekly is hit or miss, sometimes I’ll get a couple decent songs out of it but most of the time it’s mediocre music I’m not interested in. Spotify used to have a section where you could discover great new music in the “search” category, but they replaced it with popslop and audiobooks / podcasts now.

listen to full albums and discographies by artists you like. I'm baffled by how little music /mu/ users listen to. Do you mostly listen outside of spotify? Do you mostly download your music, making it not recognized properly by spotify? I do both of those things too. Perhaps I was more addicted to music during the pandemic than I previously understood.

I don't remember that first streamed song. Also didn't think I'd been on Spotify that long.
How is top artist determined? Is it total play time, or play count? It'd probably still be Burzum either way.
