Playing guitar with a pick feels unnatural and weird.
That's why I use wooden guitar picks

After 10 years of playing mostly with pic and a good chunk without i cant comprehend getting my top picking speed with fingers alone unless I just put thumb and index together like a pic but using the index and middle back and forth I dont see getting that fast

Whatever, I wasn't going to have sex any time soon anyways.Really love the note articulation with the plectrum, but I found my style is better suited to bare fingers. Easier to palm mute, more dynamics, better rhythmic control.

It's quite literally impossible to play metal without a pick. And if you want there are three fingers available for hybrid picking.
