New singlehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSa1zsPcj8w
Well, that just happened.
>>130301321Bretty gud
>>130301321They should have changed their name starting with their 2nd album. Completely different vibe.
Sample-based artists always go to shit when they incorporate more and more features while having less and less samples. Wildflower was pretty good at balancing the features and samples. WWALY was not.
>>130301321somehow an even bigger eyebrow raise than Frankie Sinatra was
>>130301321can these dusty uncs put vaporwave out of its misery? here's hoping
>>130301321Embarrassing desu, feels very tryhard
the song is shit
Okay I think I get it now. They want to be Porter Robinson but even faggier.
new avalanches single dropped and there’s not already over 200 replies. /mu/ is over.
This made me very excited For the new Boards of Canada album
If this is a proper LP single…it’s their weakest yet. By far.
This would have gone so hard in 2016
I lost my fucking mind when wildflower came out I waited so long for it but the next one i didn't want to listen to at all for some reason
>>130302779I listened to wildflower quite a bit - I think I listened to WWALY once and have never thought about it since.
>>130301321I'm not usually one to complain about mixing but this legitimately sounds like a demo. A very, very rough demo
This shit is fucking awful, completely soulless. They should have never made anything after Wildflower. Its pretty fucking unlikely they were ever going to make anything as good especially after releasing a banger following a 16 year hiatus.
This one flew under my radar. Only just heard it a few days agohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dILtgyQEXRA
>>130301868i mean if you couldn't tell that just looking at the catalog of kpop and sabrina carptner threads....
that is pretty garbolike even Frankie Sinatra elicited an emotion from me even if it wasn't a great song. that is just there.WWALY is so good by the way. absolutely love what they did fo that oneeh even if it was crap we got 3 great too good albums, imagine thinking that from 01-15
>>130302848the only hopium I have for this album is the fact that Wildflower ended up being pretty great despite Frankie Sinatra being a dreadful choice for the lead single. It's easy to forget but there was a brief time where we all thought Wildflower was going to sound like a Caravan Palace album because of that song
>>130302880haha I was there bro, /mu/ had a collective panic attack
>>130301868no one but uncs cares
>>130301321This is the worst thing they've ever released
>>130302880>there was a brief time where we all thought Wildflower was going to sound like a Caravan Palace album because of that songWhy? It sounds like Frontier Psychiatrist.
>>130301868This isn't the avalanches it's two (?) guys who were in the avalanches dicking around at this point
its a good, fun track, you're all trying too hard
>>130303919It just doesn't work tho
>>130303885Darren Seltman was the main one of any import who left, we still got two good albums afterwards
>>130301500>less and less samples*fewer and fewer
>>130305649I said it before and I'll say it again, that is not a real grammatical rule.
Still bad :(
>>130301321Pretty meh, and I really do like them but this is just not very good.
>>130301321To say something positive I'm glad they're embracing the more playful and upbeat side of their sound after the dreary WWALY. I just wish it didn't so rough and unfinished
>>130309134Maybe this is a one off and won’t be on the record. They did recently say the new album was at least a year away after all
i like it fuk youi like the roughness too
Xploshi ass music
"music my Sims would listen to" type beat
