it is kind of amazing how these actually good AOR bands from late 70s/early 80s have been written out of rock history in favor of the much inferior punk/new wave stuff.I mean some of the AOR like Kansas and maybe even Boston goes overboard on the sound and new wave minimalism was a palate cleanser.But Foreigner has tight, crisp guitar-centric songs with killer hooks, what all those limited talent punk bands could never achieve.And they all seem to have come from just as humble of beginnings too it seems.
