No, no lol. Jojiis in another genre of music (rap which is not music) and he hasnt been very successful either, he was more successful as a comedian, as filthy frank.

he is hyper introverted more than anyone here which is a feat so you wont get any info on him he keeps to himself he uses alts on the internet he almost never posts on instagram or anything.

She can play a number of instruments yes but I've never been impressed by her instrumental skills. She will always be known as a vocalist, and a very good one imo at that.

The meaning is actually tragic, I know Hayley uses demon imagery not because she is satanic or any retarded thing like that but because she feels like while she has good luck to be where she wants to be, she is almost unfortunate. She would have liked to be a mother with Taylor but it just didnt work out. As if it was a curse.

I think she can get good at piano if she learns some Jazz and Classical progressions. She can get to a level where we can be like "yeah all that sounded beautiful and sick" but for now its just all chords, pretty chords but not like some sick progression that blows your mind.

They are getting back together? They should. Lets be real Taylor York would get bored of every other women. Hayley at least can match his musical aspirations.

He is already hyper introvert as he is, he gets oversocialized super easily. Even if they end up not being able to have kids it's like they are a match for each other. They know each other since they were like 14, they like each other's looks, Hayley been saying he loves him since 14-15 too:

If thats you yelyah just grind your piano skills that will unlock sick melody and the tragedy keep it to lyrics

depression and sadness is not a good mood to do anything that requires motion with like playing instruments or even most sort of compositions (unless you add dramatic pauses, those are good af sometimes)

sadness however it's great to write lyrics with.

I sorta feel sorry for the person that insists on masturbation being a legitimate pretext for enjoying music. Sure, if Hayley Williams was a fat negress from Alabama her music would sound different, but there’s gotta be a point where this stuff matters a little less, right? I find Olivia Rodrigo to be incredibly sexually attractive but I don’t find much merit in her music. I regard Mama Cass as a slovenly cow on a physical level but I think she’s a very alluring and overall amazing lyricist and I can actively call myself a fan of her music. What gives here? Would you like her music as much if she wasn’t hot? Could you give an honest evaluation of the music of Paramore without mentioning Hayley Williams physical appearance?

What the fuck are you talking about lmao

Yes the music ia good on its own both in th3 Paramore Punk Rock Emo Scene etc era and to this day. Listen to Emergency. Nowadays it doesnt have the same feeling but its good. Early Paramore was more power chords and this makes for fun rock genre gym playlists, now its a bit more emo (or happy positive) lyrics with guitar and piano harmonies.
Its still Rock, not super complex but still fun to listen to.

Aint It Fun is a good song that shows that.

And Hayleys own stuff is her own personal problems being chronicled basically. She makes music to overcome depression and boredom basically. And it works, she comes out healed up every time. She owes a lot to music if you think about it.

I wouldnt like her music if she didnt play within this huge Rock genre that allows for so much variety of instruments and their sounds.
Anyway bottom line is yes Paramore has fun tunes, so does Hayley solo projects, so does Power Snatch. Thats about it. Go hear them if you care to its all in YouTube.

Thanks for the response.

I believe that there are legitimate reasons for music to exist, and excising depression and boredom are excellent reasons for it. When we’re talking about pop or rock music, most definitely the bare minimum is a distillation of familiar ideas or emotions in an easily digestible form.

I relistened to some Paramore stuff after reading your post and I think that Hayley Williams understands what she wants out of her music, which is a great thing for me as a listener because I know I’m hearing something that’s at least honest in form, which is always the bare minimum for me personally. Ironically, I think there’s a level of conviction and confidence in her personal tales of emotional confusion and melancholy.

A good reference point for me is to one of my favorites of all time: The Cure. Those early 80s records were an honest reflection of Robert Smith’s own inner-life, at the time. It’s incredibly self-serious and bleak, lyrically and sonically, but somehow never deviates from a standard 4/4 pop format despite that. At the time, Robert Smith needed that music. Whatever was swirling in him, needed to be released for the sake of him ever living a tolerable life. And it needed to be released in tight pop structures because it wasn’t just about mere passive expression, he wanted you to really hear him and what he was saying about himself. It was his own way of keeping his dignity as a human being. This was life or death.

Paramore I think is not dissimilar to this. Hayley, like Robert, can live with depression and turmoil because of music. I think the appeal of Robert Smith and Hayley William’s music is similar but mediated by different temperaments. The pop accessibility of the music helps draw people in and the character of their songwriting is what makes people fall head over heels with them.

I dont even consider Paramore pop just Punk Rock and now its some sort of Alternative Rock and Power Snatch has a more Psychedelic Rock sound mainly due to how they use synths and guitar lines.

It was Pop during its peak popularity in the mid-late 2000s but not anymore, and even then they were doing what everyone else was doing but w/ a band's frontwoman

Paramore is not that different to all the "Mall Emo" that was going on around the time and on MTV mid 2000s.

Do people seriously listen to music based on how attractive the lead singer is? I do this with movies, but I can't even imagine doing it with music.
Paramore originally didn't do it as much for me, since I've started listening to them coming off of some other female-led punk bands such as The Distillers, but they grew on me after actually going through their discography. I'm not a fan of After Laughter because they leaned way too much into pure pop music which doesn't fit my tastes, but This Is Why was a surprisingly good record that improved on subsequent listening.
I like their early stuff the most, with BNE being easily their best. Sucks that Hayley herself isn't a fan of AWKIF and Riot!, calling the latter overproduced. Although to be fair, a lot of musicians hate their most popular work.
Anyway, if Hayley was an uggo, I'd probably still listen to Paramore. Attractiveness shouldn't be a criteria for liking certain music. I'd fuck the shit out of Gracie Abrams (from 3 years ago) but her music grates my ears and I can't bring myself to listen to it.
>>
>>130346997
Riot! has too many songs that feel like they're all trying to be the THE song of the album.
>>
>>130347066
Well don't quote me on anything, but I believe that's intentional.
AWKIF came out in 2005, while they were still kids, aged 13-15. Inexperience and tons of pressure from the producers and the fans led them to mashing up a bunch of songs in merely 2 years, while also following some of the trends of other succesful pop punk bands/artists at the time (green day, sum 41, avril, mcr etc).
Riot! is far from a bad album, there is a reason why people love it and why it shot them into the mainstream, but I can see why they wouldn't like it.

The way people post about her on this stupid fucking site I wouldn’t know if they only listen to her because they wanna fuck her or if they wanna fuck her because she makes enjoyable music. I don’t doubt there’s an impulse of that somewhere. I can’t personally relate to it but I don’t doubt it exists. I can recognize that the image of the band was a deciding factor in their popularity in the early 2000s. They were part of that whole mall emo wave after all. People on here sometimes post about her the same way others post about Randytaylor69 which I think is quite silly though Rose is a total hottie.
>>
>>130346850
These genre lines become blurry as hell the further along in the timeline of broader contemporary music we go. When I use the term 'pop' I usually mean to say something more akin to 'popular music' as a broad category of music distinct from stuff like ‘extreme music', the avant-garde, or the type of music made by a conservatory. I think that the primary genre that Paramore work in will always be rock. They’re a rock band through and through from their emo days to their early 2010s sound and I can work with that. I’m a little resentful of whole culture around genre in pop(ular) music because I think a lot of people throw around genre tags to stuff that doesn’t necessarily fit and at some point it becomes arbitrary especially nowadays. Btw because of this post I checked out some of the newer Paramore stuff as well as Power Snatch and I was surprised at how uncommercial they’ve become lately. Keep in mind I’m not a Paramore fan and I haven’t properly checked them out until now, because of this thread.

Her appearance definitely boosted their popularity. Quirky alt girl with orange hair was an easy sell mid to late 2000s. Nowadays that market is oversaturated though.

yeah same I have used 4chan for a long time been hit and miss. Sometimes its a waste of time but other times it has taught me so much especially about computers once in a while a wise person comes around that knows what he is talking about.

What i like about 4chan is that here retards know they are retards. Unlike Reddit where it's just retards that think they are smart and act so condescending.

Anyway what i say about Hayley getting better at piano and composing is real I think she can and I think she will. I think she needs a mission in life without a goal she just grows bored and old, I think she actually has a strong enough work ethic and wants to get stuff done.

As for Taylor York it's the same, I don't think a guy like him just wants to grow old without creating his musical "magnum opus" something that showcases his true potential. He is a fan of so much good music I find it impossible that he wants to stagnate, I has more within him. And maybe he should work with Hayley again to make it happen. Dying without making your song is very sad for a musician.

I'm sure he is dealing with his own problems, low motivation, depression, etc. Hayley likes that sort of guys because she knows how it is. She likes the Edgy Internal monologue veiled in black, quiet guys that sit in the back row of the class room.
Maybe the reationship didnt work out at first because he was inept at expressing love but thats how quiet types are, it doesnt mean they are not thinking about it. Yelyah will forever live in Taylor York's mind rent free forever.

Taylor York wont do anything, wont produce anything without Hayley he just gets bored and dwells in his silence over thinking things. There is no reason to think more when you already know what you must do with your life. He chose music, Hayley is music.

>>130352788
Hayley is Hayley, Taylor York is Taylor York, they can be music together which they did for many years in Paramore, and his presence in her life as someone who has been there since forever is, irreplaceable, but it's like she said it herself u know? "Love me different". I can't be him and honestly no one can, but part of life is moving forward, anyways, she could find someone like him, with the same overthinking, same quietness, someone who plays guitar pouring his heart out on every note, and yet someone who's different, good, someone who wants to be with her just as much as he did.
