Graduation is simply just a product of its time, back when kanye was clearly trying to make a leap into pop stardom. A majority of the songs either didn’t age well or have beats that are extremely dated by today’s standard. The songwriting and production is also subpar when compared to his previous 2 albums. It is literally in my bottom 5 kanye albums ranking. Yet whenever i see zoomers discussing music, it is consistently brought up as one of their all time favorites or used as a defense mechanism whenever kanye gets himself into controversy again. Do they simply just not know albums like Late Registration or Yeezus exist, which are a vastly superior display of kanye’s talents?
