Restrung the new tele my fiancee bought me and put a pearl white pick guard on it. It’s almost a sparkly copper color. Sounds really cool. And yes it has a 12 inch radius like a Les Paul. It’s a player plus model circa 2023. Only thing I really need to do is order a telecaster selector switch for it. Not digging the strat style switch. It has the Strat style body countour which is really cool cause it doesn’t hurt to play sitting like my old Baja.

Why does Fender have all the good rosewood? Even their cheap guitars have beautiful dark boards and the custom shop will do Brazilian for a small upcharge. Gibson on the other hand gets the ugliest Indian rosewood they can and even their premium custom shop models have boards that look like laurel. And if you want Gibson custom shop to use Brazilian that'll be an additional 20k plus tip.

Most of the Brazilian rosewood available today is old, full of bug holes and rot, and just not that good for musical instrument purposes. A nice piece of Madagascar rosewood is what you want. It's beautiful and still fills your desire to know your guitar is made from an endangered species.

Most musical instrument companies refuse to ship guitars to Brazil for this reason.The only way he could be guaranteed to get it would have been for me to fly down there and give it to him personally which there's no way in hell I was going to do. Cause his tech just assumed that Lee being a blues boomer would prefer more relief rather than something with a pubic hair's width of neck reliefAt the end of the day it's a tool, it's up to you to communicate to the tech what setup you want and how they'll use the PLEK machine. imho it might be worth it for me if I'm going for a super low shredder action like on Shawn Lane's Vigier, Roy Marchbank (very low action maybe 1.2mm at the last fret, straight neck). Provided the neck is very stable and you won't end up (or dont mind) tweaking the truss rod everyday
